During my years of searching on various auction sites, I sporadically came across unknown birds from Goebel. Birds that I have not come across in any catalog or prospectus. If it worked, I bought these pieces. Without exception, they turned out to be birds designed by W. Schiener and those designed by Goebel in the U.S.A. have been produced and/or published. I have made several attempts to find out the identity of this Schiener, but so far have been unsuccessful. Neither through Google nor through the literature about Goebel I can find out anything further. The birds do not bear a number, but they are, as stated on the underside, marketed in limited editions.

If anyone can help me further, I’d appreciate it.
